Let The Bastards, Grind!
www.myspace.com/letthebastardsgrind
Present:

Manatees
Giant-crushing-dreamdoomdrone from Carlisle...
http://www.myspace.com/manateetheband

Drowned In Sound say:
"the Carlisle-based trio left me mouth agape and ears stinging, eyes dry and heart ablaze. Their sludgy, sonically spectacular slow-motion rock is comparable on record to a number of trailblazers present – think Isis, Red Sparowes, Mogwai, Sunn O))) – but live they’re as peerless as any British band active as of now; they’re a band whose records are but flyers for The Real Deal, the bones-shaking in-the-flesh experience. A few months back they were the best band from these isles I’d seen in 2007; now, in the summer, that show remains my personal domestic standout. Tonight Manatees simply consolidate their position within my scheme of things – this is spectacular. Just how many times can a man write ‘amazing’ before it gets boring?"

Sculpture
Bristol's anti-wave noixe spazzjazz for the masses!
http://www.myspace.com/sculpture

"fill in your own review"!

Spider Kitten
Self-proclaimed ugly/beautiful, aggressive/progressive music that embodies the agony and ecstasy of the human condition.
http://www.myspace.com/spiderkitten

Noel even does a bloody review, here!:
"Deathly slow, improvised extreme feedback drone" Noel Gardner

"The skull-bothering doom metalics of the excellent Spider Kitten shake the gloomy foundations - affirming their growing reverence." Sound Nation

Manatees' new tour EP featuring Eugene Robinson (Oxbow) + merch'll be present at teh show!

£4, thursday 27th sept.

yes Manatees are good. they play music that is both heavy and slow and I don't on the whole find it bad.

Gosh, Skulpture haven't played a gig since March 2006. Must attend. I expect those other bands are all right too.
